Kick The Habit

The New Scientist has reported on a recent study by the University of Iowa covering 72,000 smokers & ex-smokers from America and Europe. It concluded that hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking.

Nearly nine years ago the Which? report concluded that of all methods available for stopping smoking, hypnotherapy was the most successful, and the only one with no cravings, no irritability, no bad temper and no weight gain.

Other research comparing many different studies of hypnotherapy has shown that on average smokers are five times more likely to break the habit with hypnosis than by willpower alone.  Hypnotherapy in general is also proven to be more than twice as effective compared to nicotine gum.

Every one is very well versed on the dangers of smoking but did you know that smoking is one of the major causes of STRESS and ANXIETY?  People who continue to smoke throughout their life are 80% more likely to suffer severe anxiety and or clinical depression in middle age than non-smokers.  This is because smoking prevents the brain from producing the neurotransmitter/hormone serotonin, this is what gives us motivation and an ability to cope.

And did you know that smoking can cause infertility, impotence and erictile dysfunction?

We all know that you could save a huge amount of money but have you actually worked it out?  Your therapy session may have payed for itself in only 3 weeks.  An average 30 year-old smoker who gives up now will have saved £65,000 by the time he retires.

But despite knowing all of this we are still compelled to smoke. This is because your smoking habit is not a conscious behaviour and so it cannot be controlled by conscious determination. As you know you can try and be conscious of not smoking, but this is difficult to keep up for very long. The reason you smoke is because of your subconscious beliefs and behaviours.

But if you truly want to kick the habit, you can without unnecessary effort or side-effects, by re-programming those subconscious beliefs and behaviours. Hypnotherapy provides the means to access your subconscious and enable you to form new perspectives and understandings regarding the smoking habit and cut any links smoking has with stressful situations, social activities, or relationships.

So if you really want to quit you can walk out of the clinic a non smoker.

Quit Smoking Therapy only takes one session. The session which lasts up to 2hrs costs £110 and includes a back up CD.   No initial consultation is necessary.
